Construction Works for World Expo Village are Completed
The construction
works for the World Expo Village
are completed and the official theme of the world’s fair, “Better City,
Better Life”, becomes reality. Before the world exhibition will open its doors
on 1st of May 2010, the staff currently is moving in the quarter of 700,000
square meters of gross floor area in the northeast part of the Pudong district.
The HPP
master plan for this new quarter at the bank of the Huangpu was awarded the
first prize in an international competition in 2006. On a planning area of
forty-four hectares a dynamic, lively und sustainable quarter has been build
within only three and a half years. After the Expo it will be converted and
inserted into the private real estate sector.
