


Henkel was born in 1939 in Mühlhausen and studied architecture at the Uni-
versity of Kassel. After completing his studies he worked on the HPP planning team of the university in Bochum and then for two years for Suter + Suter in Basel. In 1969 Henkel came back to HPP as a project director. From 1974
he was a project partner and the director of the HPP offices in Duisburg and Cologne. In 1992 he was elected to the general management as an associate and directed HPP until 2005. He is now active on HPP’s advisory council.
Henkel is a member of the BDA and the Chamber of Architects in North
Rhine-Westphalia.
