KAI 5 is situated on Dusseldorf’s Media Harbour, one of the most interesting urban developments in the state capital. The five-storey office building with underground car parking for 192 cars encloses an inner courtyard garden
with water features and an open colonnade. The three glazed stair and lift
cores face inwards onto the courtyard and rise up out of it. The building can
be accessed from Kaistrasse and from Zollhof. The building consists of a two-storey brickwork pedestal on top of which are the three further glazed storeys, reflecting the typical style of harbour buildings. We have had our
main office in this building since 2007.
