The narrow high-rise dating back to 1967 was extensively renovated, aug-mented, and expanded with a more cubic, centrally planned building. In addition to the repitition of five stories, the building was furnished with a double façade to facilitate natural ventilation as well as windproof sun protection on the exterior. By using intelligent control systems, the building can be operated for many weeks in the year without heating or cooling.
