In the course of its renovation, this standout high-rise in the vicinity of Han-
nover’s central train station received a multilayered skin: on the long sides of
the building, the skin is a story-high, glass-enclosed, modular façade, while on the building’s gable sides it takes the form of a heat-insulated, rear-ventilated, modular brick façade. In addition, an external sun shield and openable windows contribute to the structure’s energy efficiency.
