The new dialysis centre is located in the four-storey extension to the Offenburg Clinic and will be run as a group practice. A coloured service-core housing the lift and open staircase forms a connecting arm that links the new and existing buildings. Bands of windows that run around the building ensure that the inter-
nal spaces are well-lit. The transparent façade concept is continued through the practice and treatment rooms. The individual treatment rooms are grouped around the central support and these are connected to one another by glass walls.
