This new building is an independent structure, connected to the existing House 1. The extensive floor plan is split into two symmetrical blocks grouped around
a central courtyard. The patient rooms face outwards, the offices and clinical rooms as well as the corridor to the patients’ area are arranged around the courtyard; the fully-glazed facades lend the building a very transparent feel. As well as the patient rooms, this building contains an internal medicine clinic, a geriatric outpatient unit and a children’s clinic with a station for new-borns.
