This seven-storey building occupies a prominent position at the centre of the University Clinic and is part of an urban master plan. It houses four interdis-ciplinary care units, one intensive care unit with intermediate care facilities, the laboratory for clinical biomedicine, the central accident and emergency unit and the outpatient unit. With the exception of the service core, the main body of the building forms a generous, glazed cube.
