The design of the Düsseldorf University of Applied Science was also intended to serve as a prototype. The concept resulted in a group of two-storey buildings, extendable on either side and constructed out of a few standardised reinforced-concrete elements. These were: an administrative and teaching block, a lecture theatre to the front consisting of two seminar wings, and a laboratory building.
