High above the Bay of Cologne sits Schloss Bensberg, one of Europe’s largest and most beautiful baroque castles. The castle complex, as it stands today, is the result of a process of changing uses and additions that has taken place
over the past 300 years. Following comprehensive renovation, the hotel is now reached via the baroque courtyard. The entrance has been relocated in the central part of the building together with the lobby, the lounge and all other publicly accessible areas. The ballroom, conference room, spa and the hotel’s gourmet restaurant are located on the ground floor. A total of 108 rooms and suites were provided on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors, all designed with careful consideration of and reference to the historical existing building.
