Digitalisation, urbanisation and globalisation are changing how we communicate, work, travel and live. We see the challenges, but we also see the wealth of possibilities – for architects, clients, users and society.
With each new project, we strive to create the greatest economical, ecological, technical, social and aesthetic value for the users, owners and the surroundings of the structures we build.
Can spaces contribute to more concentrated working?
The new media and digitalisation are changing the working environment: What do offices and working environments look like, when they use innovation to its full extent, yet still retain the best qualities of the slow old days?
What kind of architecture will 3D-planning make possible?
The potential of digitalisation
When you are designing for the times, you have to use contemporary tools. We have digitalised our processes: from 3D designing to Building Information Modelling (BIM).
We're passionate about drawing analog and at the same time we move on to 3D modelling at an early stage in the design process. This means that we work on the same model together with all the other specialists and can be certain of the highest-quality execution.
How is new mobility changing towns and cities?
New transport concepts offer a new, improved environment
Carsharing, bikesharing or even autonomous vehicles in the future can all contribute to a reduction in the numbers of cars in the city centre. This reduces noise and air pollution and offers more space for pedestrians, cyclists and for general use. How can planners take advantage of these new opportunities?
Nanshan Science & Technology Innovation Center
It takes more than just a great idea, the implementation has to be right too. If you don't think about the implementaiton, the design will forever remain a pipedream. In order to make sure that we are always at home in both worlds, we contribute to all phases of a project. We make sure that there are no execution dificulties with one organisational measure: Our construction management is part of the project team right from the beginning and not just from HOAI phase 7 onwards.
Joined-up thinking for a diverse world.
We approach each project as a team – together with our clients and partner companies. Our process systems rely on communication and interaction: each project, each client is assigned to one of our Partners; we have institutionalised communication and interaction by means of the partner and design meetings; we are involving our construction manager at an early stage and we make sure that the planners and building supervisors are playing for the same team.
Everyone is talking about the future; we are building it.
We can't predict the future but shape it
We are not only thinking about the challenges of our times, we are also meeting them head on. Our team can call on 85 years of experience and knowledge. 85 years in which we have designed, planned and built for the times.
With 13 studios throughout the world, we can guarantee local knowledge, prompt response and direct contact with the key local people.
