Since its opening in October 2021, visitors have been enjoying the special atmosphere in the stadium. The clear, distinctive architectural language and the exterior diagonal tension rods give the stadium its unmistakable character. Due to its slightly elevated position on a hill, the impression of a place of pilgrimage is created. The stadium seats around 34,700 people and its business, conference and event areas have been designed to operate independently of the soccer matches. For a CO2-free power supply, the stadium roof was equipped with 15,000 square meters of photovoltaic panels, making it one of the largest solar roofs on a soccer stadium in the world. The festive award ceremony of the Iconic Awards 2022 will take place on October 5th at BMW Welt on the occasion of the Expo Real in Munich.
