The research complex, which has a two-storey technical center and an office and laboratory building on a usable floor area of over 5,400 sqm, is being built right in the heart of the Düren innovation district. The single-skin timber façade, which incorporates the static and material-saving properties of a folded structure, gives the building its striking identity. The design process was based on a circular mindset and the aim is to achieve DGNB Platinum certification.
