Düsseldorf‘s first timber hybrid building, The Cradle has not even been built yet, but its pioneering concept has already received its second distinguished architectural prize this year. Designed by HPP, the building has been awarded the ICONIC AWARD 2018: Innovative Architecture by the German Design Council. The official ceremony was held last evening at Munich’s Pinakothek der Moderne gallery as part of the EXPO REAL Property Fair. The annual ICONIC AWARDS competition is organised by The German Design Council; CEO Andrej Kupetz described the prize-winners as those who „provide fresh inspiration with visionary power”
