In keeping with the image of SVW as one of China’s leading car companies, the concept for the 41,900 m² building is the motif of an "Enterprise Gate”. The two 10-storey prismatic towers stand adjacent and are connected at the top by a three-storey cube. The distinctive shape and eye-catching visual relation are created by the diagonal aspect of the adjacent blocks. To facilitate discussion between employees and communication of the individual departments, the two buildings are linked by four open walkways through the 9-storey high-rise atrium. The clarity and serenity of the architectural language ensures the building’s position as a striking landmark in a disparate context. The innovative unbroken glass membrane lends decisive definition to the clear building volumes as well as creating weatherproof outside space.
