Inside, inspiring spaces await the user. Freelancers and start-ups will find a productivity-enhancing working environment in the rooms of Spaces. “Our customers come to this new location very consciously, because The Cradle is one of the most characteristic buildings in the Media Harbour and exudes an all-round creative spirit,” says Stine Leidel, City Manager at Spaces. Following the Cradle to Cradle® principle, the focus was on material health and freedom from harmful substances. Thanks to the filtering and regulating properties of the timber and the floor-to-ceiling green walls, users benefit from a good indoor climate. 2,150 m3 of certified sustainable timber from European forests, mostly in Germany, was used. Wherever possible, this renewable material replaced concrete, an environmentally damaging building material. Compared to conventional buildings, the material health was improved by 56% and the CO2 footprint by 50%.
