The structural shell work of the first construction phase has been completed - 750 residential units and three childcare centres will be built by 2028. These include 448 condominiums, designed by HPP Architekten and Hadi Teherani Architects.
The new PANDION Albertussee urban quarter in Düsseldorf-Heerdt is a lively, green, car-free and urban neighbourhood for inner-city living. The design consists of block buildings (HPP) and a second group of buildings on the site (Hadi Teherani). The landscape architects from +grün are responsible for the open space planning. Based on the key principle of ‘hard shell - soft core’, a high livability is achieved by turning the building towards the lake and consciously connecting it with nature. Calm, clearly structured façades with light-coloured clinker brick and upright window formats are arranged on the commercial side to the north. To the south, continuous balcony strips emphasise the view towards the Albertussee. The neighbourhood recently received ‘DGNB Quartier Gold’ pre-certification.
