More than 300 guests from business, politics and society were invited, as well as all the partner companies involved in the project and around 1,300 construction workers. Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier, for which HPP was commissioned with the master planning in 2015, is Europe's largest inner-city development project and will become the new urban heart of the HafenCity with 14 new buildings and a total gross floor area of over 400,000 sqm. The new quarter will complement and revitalise the HafenCity with a mix of living, working and new shopping, cultural and leisure facilities. The opening is planned for spring 2024.
